Coral Dancer Refurbishment

Snorkelling at coral viewing vessel in Hardy Lagoon

Air Whitsunday has commenced tours to their newly refurbished semi submersible Coral Dancer. This sister vessel to their current snorkeling platform Sun Dancer offers an even more intimate Great Barrier Reef experience with a capacity of only 10 passengers.

The vessel provides the same opportunities for coral viewing and snorkeling within a private and pristine outer reef location whilst promoting small passenger numbers.

‘Coral Dancer’ has received a complete refurbishment including an updated viewing chamber with new carpet and seating, brand new engines, a clean sun deck area with new seating and a fresh paint job in the Air Whitsunday insignia.

Air Whitsunday have returned to shore after Coral Dancer’s delivery with Sun Dancer in tow. Sun Dancer, which has a capacity of 22 passengers, will now undergo its own refurbishment to be returned to her outer reef mooring in late 2012.

With the increased demand of our popular Great Barrier Reef tours we are not too far from providing our unique experience as a group interaction upon one vessel whilst the smaller Coral Dancer is utilized for private charter purposes for the high end leisure market and small conference and incentive groups.
